Climatarian diet is the diet where focuses on consumption of food that do not harm the environment. The diet focuses on reducing the carbon footprint with plant based locally sourced produce. Along with protecting the environment, the diet also has the potential to protect human health.
The diet stresses on reducing the animal food consumption, particularly the beef because it contributes to higher emissions.
Although many people cite the environmental concerns as the reason they follow a vegetarian diet. But these diet are some same as a climatarian diet. For example, climatarians don’t believe in cutting meat altogether. Instead, they believe that eliminating entire food groups can make it difficult for many to stick to the diet. As a result they promote eating less meat instead of just cutting it from diet.
