Japanese largest advertising agency Dentsu Inc invented the green newspaper which is undertaken by the Japanese daily.

This eco-friendly newspaper has been a big hit, with a daily distribution of over four million copies and sales of almost eighty million yen, or more than $700,000.

Schools have also been engaged in the campaign to enhance children’s awareness of environmental issues and to teach them the virtue of recycling.

Because the paper is biodegradable, it produces no waste, making it a more environmentally responsible alternative to typical card stocks.

It is hundred percent sustainable newspaper with a motto – If u plant, it will grow. It was printed on recyclable paper with plant-based ink, which acts as fertilizer, and was dotted with flower seeds (poppies, roses, daisies, etc.).

The reader only needed to cut the newspaper into small pieces and plant it after reading it. It is not necessary to pile up this newspaper in your house instead it will change itself into a beautiful green plant.

It was such a great idea where Japan once again proves its status as a developed country. Recently an inspirational effort was also made by chairman of Mahindra group to make Plant newspaper that grew into flowers for the first time in India.

Ways to recycle as Green Newspaper

This newspaper is manufactured out of leftover cotton and is infused with seeds during pulping process to grow either herbs or vegetables depend on the material.

In a few days, the paper will grow into gorgeous seeds and later into wild flowers.
